What Is a Sect Leader?
Sect Leader (掌门, zhǎngmén) is:
- The supreme authority of a cultivation sect
- Often the strongest member (but not always)
- Responsible for sect survival and prosperity
- A target for rivals and ambitious subordinates
The sect leader is essentially the king of their sect’s territory.
